I wanted to try these on a gym floor - but since it's so highly polished, they were a little too slippery to use for high-impact aerobics. For line-dancing or a basic dance class, they would work great. They would be great on a worn out wood floor or other textured flooring. HOPE THIS HELPS!

For something to side over my shoe, it easier to turn off the carpet. I’ve been doing exercise videos. I want the support of a gym shoe, but then it becomes very hard to easily spend on a carpet. I attend an informal dance class where I dance in sneakers, which means when I try to pivot, I can't, and when I slide forward on one foot I'm prone to stop short and so risk falling forward onto my face. These sharp-looking socks slip onto the front of my sneakers around the ball of my foot and let me pivot and slide - instantly more fun, and they stay securely in place. I hand wash them. They are a very firm weave and hold their shape. I can't tell apart the worn pair from my new, unworn pair.

I got these for my daughter who goes to hip-hop classes. She was really looking forward to these. They fit over her shoes well. The quality is really nice. They stretch and go back to their original shape every time. However, they're just too slippery. My daughter didn't feel comfortable dancing with these because she said she almost fell several times with them over her shoes. I guess you could liken these to dancing on hardwood with socks on. For small kids, that can be a little problematic. These work for their intended purpose, I just don't think my daughter will get much use out of them.

My son LOVES to dance. But he doesn't always have the right shoes with him. These "socks" slip over the outside of his size 10 shoes and allow his feet to glide across the floor.
